Re-Badging

hey guys, I'm thinkin about rebadging my evo ix, but I wasnt sure what the best adhesive to use. What does the factory use? I can see the stuff they use from when i debaged but dont kn ow what i is. I'd much rather use what the factory uses since in know it wont leave crap on my paint or scratch the car when taking it off.I dont wanna use double sided tape cuz it will make the badge stick out. I wonder if I went to the dealer if they would just give me some of their adhesive... idk.

thanks for all input!

Looks like 3m is the most reccomended, will it leave any unremovable residue if I decide to debadge one day?

yup, take it off on a sunny day, or use tooth floss or fishing wire to take it off with a blowdryer.

any residue left, you just use googone!

I agree with what others have said. Re: the 3M double-side, you can usually stretch it pretty thin if you really have an issue with how much it sticks out. Not too thin, but enough to give you what you're after, if I understand your concern correctly.

goo gone stuff and then get an old credit card. I did that and the credit card didn't scratch any of the pain.

My car is already debadged so I know how to do that already, I was just wanting to know what adhesive wouldn't mess up my paint if I
Decide to debadge again one day

it should come off pretty much the same as factory if you decide to debadge it again. But it is great stuff and will not come loose on it's own.
