car acted up

okay tonight was a nice night so i decided to drive my car a little bit. i took it down a twisty road and i let off the gas going into a turn, then as i go to get back on the gas the car seems to sputter and my check engine light comes on. after that i took it easy until i got home.

my question is what happend? could it have something to do with i was low on gas? not really low, my gas light wasnt on or nothing. its just weird, i never had this happen to me and i have no way of reading the code right now.

go figure, i havent got on my car for god knows how long, the night i do, something like this happens.

i hate this car, its time to sell

Try to pull your plugs out and see if they are all fouled up. Replace and regap if necessary...

car drove perfectly normal after that, so def not a intercooler pipe issue

i pulled the codes, it was a random misfire
my question is, why did the car sputter like it did?
never had that happen

Mine seems to do this every now and then. Has the ecu ever been tuned? If not, then it may need one. Def check the spark plugs and their gaps.

I've had this happen to me on the track. I had around a 1/4 tank and it bogged in a high g turn... about a half a lap later the gas light came on.

Definitely check the codes because I don't remember any coming on.

Sounds like it's time for an "Italian tune up". Evos run rich and need to be blown out once in a while.

Did you ever replace your plugs? I had the exact same thing happening every time I punched it.

I had to replace my stock plugs with 1 step colder plugs. Then it quit misfiring.

And your making about the same hp as me, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was the culprit.

sounds like fuel starvation. if youre low on gas and go around a turn sharply you starve the fuel pump. If it acted normally after, go with at least half a tank of gas and see if it does it again.

the car and plugs only have like 27000 miles on them, they are platinum plugs so i doubt thats the issue since it doesnt do it everytime i get on it. it only happend that one time.

i think it was gas starvation.
