Angry My complaint to BBB

Here is what came back.... Isn't great? It isn't only owners they ignore.

Although we have tried to obtain a response to your complaint from
the company in the hope of reaching a mutually acceptable resolution,
they have ignored our requests. We are, therefore, closing our file.

Your unanswered complaint will become part of the information we
report to the public on this company for the next three years. Also,
should any government agency request our files on this company, your
complaint will be included.

Thank you for using the Better Business Bureau.

Sorry to hear that, dude.

Did you look into getting an attorney and try if you can refund the car using Lemon Law?

That sux. I hope everything works out for you. I know if my car was in the shop for 3 months, I would get rid of it ASAP, but I'm sure you're dedicated to keeping your car. I can't believe the treatment Mitsu is giving us. I'm almost afraid to drive my car in fear something will break and they wont fix it or give me a hard time. Mitsu should have never brought this car to the US if they can't back up the warantees. And I think the Mitsu dealers across the US were not prepared to handle warantee issues associated with this car. Did they really think every Evo owner was not going to modify and drive like grandma?

Hope we see you at the next Vegas meet, Evoguy.

Dude, that sucks. What the hell good is the BBB if they just give up like that? I remember dealings with the BBB at work before for a vendor that screwed us, and they were equally useless.

Good luck with the lemon thing. So, if you get your $ back, are you gonna buy another Evo?

That is just nuts, how the F#!% can they get away with that. I swear the only thing that is going to change the way they treat their "halo vehicle" customers is a very public PR disaster.

Because people don't check the BBB listings on various dealers before they buy.

The people here keep blaming for their local dealer. Dealers are not all the same, and there have been quite a few stories, over the past couple of years, about Mitsu Japan trying to shake up the US dealership network.

From my research, I'd guess that the experiences with Scooby won't be much different. Most of the dealers in this area aren't getting STis to sell -- and the one that does have them, I wouldn't trust to pour water out of a boot. (Which is one reason I went with the EVO, instead.)

Again: Don't just automatically use the closest dealer. And the best place to buy one may not be the best place to have the service done. Do your homework. Some are good, some are bad, and as long as most of the public leaps blind, it'll stay that way.

I live in a city with only 3 mitsu dealers, so I'm stuck with dealing with their crap. I would have to drive to southern Cal for the next closest dealer. Mitsu corp is to blame, since they oversee all the dealers and should be paying specific attention to their flagship car, the Evo. After all, it's a 30,000 car, not a 14k Civic. We deserve better treatment.

That's like saying Bill gates is responsible because you keep getting BSOD's.

I think you're going too high up the food chain.

The BBB is a totally worthless. They charge businesses money to be a member and often coudl care less about the customer. I guess I now fully understand why it is the Better Businees Bureau. It's there to make Business's Better Financially at the expense of proper customer treatment. I've been been screwed twice, both times for the tune of about $1500 and the BBB is a complete waste of time. These were not related to Mitsu, though.

Sory to hear about the problems. I hope it eventually gets resolved and others don't have to go through this tribulation.
