Who's run 13 flat or less in their stock Evos?
I've heard rumors that there are people on this board who have run a 13 flat and even one person claimed another person broke 12's. This is totally stock. Anyone have proof of this? It sounds so far-fetched, but if it's true, I'd like to brag about it.
That was me.. 12.93 and it was done earlier this year prior to me joining this forum.. The timeslip was misplaced shortly before I posted that I even ran that time so I have no "proof" so take it for what its worth.. However I'm not the only one who's run 13.0 or better, it seems like there are some stronger cars, I discovered it may have something to do with a nonfunctional boost control solenoid, which means that boost ran 19.5 to redline, but I didn't have a boost gauge on it at the time of the run..
Let me add one thing, I made three runs, one was 13.3 one was 13.6 and the last was 12.93.. It was a cool dry day and the car had under 5000 miles on it.
FWIW this is all informational so its not important whether you believe it or not.. Just try it yourself.. without my timeslip most of you won't believe it anyway.. For the few who've ridden in my car, enjoy..

keep in mind that "My thing" was drag racing.. so once I got a hang of the car its no surprise that I was able to get a decent run. I think most of our cars are easily capable of a 13.3 or better..
I can believe you MalibuJack. I went to the tracks a few weeks ago on a really hot & humid night. I am talking about 90+ or so. There was an Evo there that ran 13.7 totally stock. I am sure on a nice cool dry night with the right person shifting it could be done.
I do actually think someone ran quicker than I did with a bone stock evo.. 12.89 or something like that under similar conditions.. Whoever that is, I'd want to shake his hand, I had one hell of a time cutting anything better than a 1.7 60' time... and my shifts were quick enough that when I was practicing I would bump the gate and it wouldn't go into gear during my 1-2 shift..
