I check my car occasionally at the back driver side door to see If I have any new paint chips other than the 1 that I had close to the time I bought the car, well I looked yesterday with about barely over 3k miles, and guess what I see??? 2 more bigger chips down to the metal and a scratch next to those. What is everyone doing about these suckes?? they are GAY!!! ...Anyways, I printed off the threads I could find about these, and I am going to go to my dealer I bought the car from and see what they will work out for me, maybe aligning the door or whatever you guys say, and HOPEFULLY, get that section fixed and painted by them, because I shouldnt have these chips in that section showing bare metal with barely over 3k miles on the car, that just sucks.

 

is it possibly from back seat passengers?

i have 10k miles on my evo and no rear wheel/door paint chips...

i have one right above my exhaust though

 

no, noones ridden back there...I dont carpool anyone....hehe...if you are wondering what i am talking about, do a search for strange chips.

Maybe people in parking lots are bashing their car doors into yours.

 

The weird chip isnt in the right spot for any of those reasons. It is because of the position of the hinges of the rear driver side door. It has been posted about, if anyone wants specific details of what causes it.

 

i need to be a moderator and end these types of threads....... this is like the 5th different thread i've come across today that is a repost...

I know there is other threads about this... maybe that is why in the previous reply I had I used the qoute "search button" telling the dude to look up the chips I am talking about, this thread was one plainly stating that I found some new ones. Instead of bringing the other thread back from the dead.
