when they announced the 8 coming to the US i was blah... then i saw the Ix, and i jizzed in my pants. I see the X and i think they should of killed the evo after the ix was born. The X looks too much like the regular lancer... ugh

 

Uncle bought one brand new in 2004, he let me drive it and I fell in love. 6 years later I'm finally getting mine! Picking it up Saturday!

I just love Evo's.

 

When I first saw an evo I thought " man that car is loud and sneezing"

 

i was walking to chelsea piers... and a black 9 mr was at the light... i told my friend THATS it... that's the car im getting... i totally missed my light cause of the car but it was worth it... west side highway in the city back in 06... later that year i went and picked up a black Mr SE...

to my eyes the X is not soo cute, but 8,9 is so sexy !!!

 

The first time I saw an Evo was at a kids playground at midnight when we were playing capture the flag. After I saw it I never looked back...I needed one. 4 years later I owned a IX.

 

When I firt saw my 9 it was really dirty and I wasnt really interested but they gave me a great deal so I bought it and now its gone. When I saw my RS it was raining and dark but I really REALLY wanted it, so I got it!

 

When I first got my Evo, I was staring at the Evo for about 7 hours strait! It was like a asian seeing a hot blode for the first time!

 

I first saw it back when they were doing the 10k mark ups. I was driving around and there it was, BBY 03 Evo VIII i was speechless.

 

I was in san diego and my buddy had just got a brand new tb 03 evo. I knew that was going to be my car instantly. When i saw the X i thought "well Guess i gotta get a used a used one cause thats not at all what i want."

 

I remember when i first heard about an evo. My brother was a really big fan of the Gran Turismo games and he would always talk about "The Mitsubishi Evolution". The one I saw on the game was the 6.5 TME and when i saw it i thought MY GOD that car is insanely awesome. When we heard the evo was coming to the U.S. we couldn't believe it. The first time i saw it in person was at the autoshow in downtown Pittsburgh. We asked the rep a million questions and i told my brother "One day I'm getting a silver one." I forget sometimes the car I'm driving is the one i wanted for so long ...until i see its reflection in a building or something hahahaha. I agree with others though, The X just isn't.....manly or something it doesn't look like a rally car it looks like a tall, big, .....standard lancer with a black piece on the bumper lol. Thats another i don't like about the X it isn't as exclusive looking as the 8 and 9 were compared to the standard lancer.

 

haha i didnt care much for the car when i first saw it, but i thought the best part was the front mount.. and my first ride obviously had me hooked..

 

OK so I am waiting at the bus stop. I hear a LOUD exhaust, and the blow off valve. I was like oo **** turbo! nice, BUT the exhaust's note was very different from any other car i've heard. I turn around, and i see this gray car with a big *** wing FLY by in front of me, i look and i was amazed !! My first real life evo!

And this was in Canada too!! lol which makes it even MORE rare.
