what can a standard evo 6 safely boost

what can a standard evo 6 safely boost

im new to this and was wondering if someone can help me with what a evo 6 should be boosting standard and how much is safe to run thanxx

I think a stock evo 5/6 should be around 18-20 psi. Im just guessing though from reading their hp and torque numbers.

If it has a boost controller then why don't you just disconnect it and see what the wastegate pressure is? Don't run anything higher than that without some kind of engine management.

From factory they run around 12psi.

Then maybe invest in a decent boost gauge and leave it that way until you get some engine management.
