Back to basics. Try cleaning your throttle body and check if the servo motor is still doing its job.

I'm not even joking when I tell you this but please remove the AEM intake and put the stock snorkel back on. You can keep the filter just change the Intake pipe. I've had this exact problem and I'm amazed at how crappy the AEM intake is.

It turns out that the stock snorkel has gill like ridges along the walls that help the MAF read the air better thus causing better idle. Not sure how exactly it works but give it a try. It worked for me.

I agree. Either that or change the snorkel back like JediGillTees says. My Eclipse used to do the same thing, but they are notorious for their ISC's going bad. I also had my idle speed raised to 1000 because of my cams. No more stalling with the A/C.

Its way to hot in Alabama to be ****ing around without A/C, too.

A little gratuitous help... if this is a cam/tune issue the idle should respond positively to raising the initial amount of air that the idle stepper motor lets in during an a/c on condition. It's under the idle tables in Ecuflash. "Initial ISCV position" I believe. Increase the bottom two columns of the table by 30% or so and see what happens. Also raise the target idle rpm for an a/c on condition.

Mine does the same thing, when the a/c is on and I press the clutch the car just shuts off. This all started after my cam install. Also does anyones elses pcv valve rattle? This also happend after cam install. Haven't been able to get my car tuned ever scince.

People - get your cars tuned after cam installs as they can affect idle significantly (depending on the cams). Either do it yourself or go to a tuner. Also, a tune after an intake is sometimes good as some intakes really mess with how the MAF reads.

+1 on bigger cams happen to my friend also but after a tune he was fine...

Or possibly not properly grounded or a bad ground somewhere after a mod

Good Luck !

usually it's caused by a poor tune

What kit are you using? What are your grounding points?

I've only noticed this on deceleration, brake is depressed, <2500 rpm, and with "max AC" on (not just AC).

Its the cams. I just installed 272's and it idles at -10psi. It should be around -19psi. Whenever you drive and stop, your boost will most likely creep to -4 or -6psi and it'll cause the car to stall out alittle. You have to adjust your tune mainly in the idle section and increase your iscv intial step postion AC on and AC off in the 77 and 82 engine tempcolumn. Bump up your timing at idle too.

My dash dims a little when I turn the AC on, and the idle drops a couple hundred Rpms..

Everyone I know has the same idle issue when they turn the AC on
