Vortex Generator Install Question (Bracket Needed?)

Installing the TiTek Carbon Fiber Vortex Generators on my IX SE. The instructions talk about a bracket that goes between VGs and the Antenna Base. I don't see one included in the package though.

Anyone else have this bracket? I looked quickly on my friend's MR the other night and I thought I saw something like this... Seems like it would be important in keeping water out of the space between the VG and the roof.

Considering just putting silicone between the base and the VG...

I got one with my VG from rexpeed. it's just a little metal piece that I've heard could rust, I never could figure out why it was there as I didn't think it was strong enough to help hold the VG on.

i ended up just installing it without the bracket - not siliconing around the antenna base. a good buddy of mind didn't use one on his VGs and he has never had a problem (he also has a small gap between the VGs and antenna base all the way around it). my main concern was water getting between the VGs and the body - not holding the VGs down. the double sided tape does that.

im gunna try to post pics up and maybe write a quick review on the TiTek piece. thus far the piece seems really nice!

that bracket is suppose to be included if you bought it directly from REXPEED, and it goes between the vg and the antenna when you place it down on the roof and im pretty sure you will have somewhat of a empty space between the two. post some pics.
