A/C Wire Cut, Need A Little Help.
A/C Wire Cut, Need A Little Help.
My A/C has been out for a while and since I don't really use it I wasn't in a big hurry to get it fixed. While draining the radiator today I noticed that one of the wires going to the compressor is cut and is probably the source of my problem. This is the wire that runs very close to the LICP. There is another wire that looks similar running on top of the compressor. Any one have any idea what this part is called and has anyone else had the same problem? Thanks.
Cut it and soder new wire to the length you want
j/k I guess it depends on how big the cut is. Maybe you can get some liquid tape and paint over the area it's been cut. Or you can get new ones from Mitsu.

Well the wires are pulled out of the plastic connector so I think just getting a new wire would be the best bet. Anyone know what this wire is called? I guess I could try posting in the part number request thread. Thanks for the help.
Ok, found another thread with some good info from member CO VR4. "The plug for the A/C compressor is shown as having a black with yellow stripe wire. It is a black plug with one wire connector. It is A-36 in the configuration diagram (page 80A-4 and 80A-5), and is listed as MU802653."
The wire that is cut on mine is the black wire with yellow stripe. Looks like the only way to fix this is going to be get a new connector and splice the old wire into it. I took the connector off but can't figure out how to take it apart to run the wire back into it, can this be done or should I just order a new one? Thanks for the help.

I would just suck it up and buy a new connecter, with all the people taking off their A/C you should be able to find a used one if a new one is too much $$. Might as well do it the right way to avoid a problem down the road
I think you will learn what you are buying is a new wiring harness. I never heard of a single wire or connector being sold, but feel free to prove me wrong. However, if I am right and if you can't figure out how to fix it, take it to a mechanic or some shop that does electrical work on cars.
