Road trip to NC

Im driving down to Kitty Hawk NC tonight after work from Hartford CT.

Its about 500 miles i guess is what im told to where our vacation house is. There's about 12 of us going down.

Any suggestions on things i might check before heading out? or taking with me? I did just change my plugs to BPR8ES and gapped them to .025 or .026 That seemed to work the best. I started out with .022 but it just didnt pull hard at all.

Ill be bringing a reletivly compact but complete toolkit for any potential problems.

What I drive:
2003 VIII

TBE, MBC, Tune on 93 @ 23psi peak. Thats basically about it.

Thanks for any advice!

-Ethan

If you dont change the oil and filter... atleast check it. along with the brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluids.

Obviously check all the fluids and have some local people available incase you run into difficulty. I live in NC but will be going back to Afghanistan on Monday morning, if you have major problems there are people all along the route that can help you out. PM me if you need anything.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
I bring spare oil as a just in case, and tire pressure gauge (I like being at my pre-sets). Other than that, they Evo is good to go. I did a lot of 600-800 per day trips with mine.

yeah watch crossing right into the state borders...

back in march cost my boyfriend $650 in lawyer fees and another hundred some in a fine to avoid him losing his license after crossing into north carolina...only because we were keeping up with traffic so they pull over the one that looks the fastest. booo
