Downpipe wore a hole in my transfer case

I bought the car used a couple of months ago. After some research on the forum, I guess the previous owner had a old version of the megan DP on the car with the flex pipe. It wore a hole into my tcase. Now I'm going to have to get a new one. Tcase is leaking the fluid out. So guys if you bought your car used, make sure the DP is not rubbing on the tcase.

It is possible. I seen it with my own eyes. If you have the older megan DP and it rubs on your tcase, it will wear a hole in your tcase. It is not an overnight process, but it will happen. Megan redesigned the DP for ACD cars... The part that rub is the flex part, and not the smooth part of the dp. Imagine the flex part... It is like sandpaper...
