ACD on a non-ACD?

Hello!
Tried searching for topics like this, but didn't find anything.
I wanted to know how hard is it to put ACD on a non-ACD 2003 Evo VIII GSR. And what would you need?
There are many wrecked evo's for spares around where I live, so was considering upgrading...

Besides the transfer case, ACD pump, and hardline for the ACD fluid, I think you need a wiring harness from an ACD evo, not sure about that. I know it has a couple plugs for the ACD

With enough money anything is doable. but depending on the cost and time involved....it may not be worth it for the ACD system....aside form the mechanicals you also need the ACD control unit (Computer).

Don't forget the button and instrument panel cluster for the lights.

It's definitely do-able. It's all the same car. Just different parts. A lot of time and money.

With the right amount of money, almost anything is possible.

Worth it? Don't think so.

Isn't there a seperate ECU for the active diff? Does it have to correspond with the engine ECU? (same as the model year ACD cars)

Just get an RS front LSD and call it good.

Yep, it uses additional ECU for ACD:

ACD + ACD controller + wires + shipping alone will cost a lot more than you selling non-ACD evo and pay little more for ACD evo. If you don't do all the installation yourself, you may end up paying as much as one used evo just for adding ACD and making it workable.

Well sad to hear that, but I understand that it can get very expensive and time consuming.
Just thought it would be nice to have, since i spend allot of on the track at summer and on ice tracks, frozen lakes during the winter.

Thanks for the great discussion

Gona check at home, but I don't think I have any, as usually I'm there with friends and all we do is go mad and forget about pictures and videos

Will definitely do some videos this year, since I got my small brake's kit and will able to get some good tires on.

Here's a picture of the wife anyway
