When pulling into my gfs neighborhood there were kids playing basketball in the street. So I slow down wait for them to move. I start to go and hear one of the kids say 'ha! I told you it was an evo'

Also when pulling back out some middle age black guy was pulling into the neighborhood in a lexus and went rlly slow throught the turn while staring at my evo.

And lastly I got pulled over for speeding and the cop finished with 'hey bud can you try and slow down? I know its a suped up car n all but just try and go slow'

 

When I had my Evo it was mostly younger people acknowledging my car positively.

Anybody older than 35 (just an arbitrary age I'm throwing out) would just think it was a riced out Lancer or another car altogether with a loud exhaust.

I think I was definetly stereotyped by other drivers.


Many times at red lights people would look at my car and chuckle (I think in a mocking way), and my Evo was always pretty stock looking .

 

haha i dont even have a wing on my evo to attract attention but no matter what parking lot i drive thru or highway i go down people just look and stare, i kinda just laugh and give them a little wave haha

 

I had some guy that wanted me to do a burnout in mine... Also when I 1st got my VIII I had some kid about fall out of his friend truck staring at the car. He was literally hanging out the back window up to his waist and then I guess he lost his footing and almost slipped out the back window lol.

Probably the best happened to me this weekend though. Girl I met over the weekend loves evos, but hadn't had a chance to really give her a good ride . So after a good night at her place I took her to work this morning and got on it and she said "I just got your seat hella wet... Your gonna have to finish the job after I get off work."

ya..... I work at a car dealership and put my car out front to get customers to come in so I end up talking to a lot of em about my car.

I convinced a guy to go try and get a $27k loan for my car
He never came back lol I woulda let him buy it too

 

About 2 weeks ago my wife needed me to move my car so she could get out the next morning, as I was moving my car the neighbor girls and their boyfirends were trying to cram more junk in the trunk of their car. When I fired my car up the boys at that point stoped completly and watched move the car 20 ft meanwhile one of the girls noticed they had stoped and smacked them so they would go back to helping lol

 

x's 2 yes wonderful feeling yet kind of weird. ive heard "im sooooo sorry i think i just got my period on your seats." (yeah true story kind of disgusting)

when i got the car a little over a year ago i remember all the kids(that now have and are getting cars) used to LOVE my car i was the only one with an evo actually driving it around. now they love to clean to my car so thats a plus for me

 

When little boys see an evo, they go 'boing'?

It is the dream car for certain popes and priests ^^

I bought a grey t-shirt to match my car and the shirt reads "Your girlfriend left you because I drive an EVO". I wore this shirt to the bar Saturday night and boy did I get some attention for that. Most women would walk by and gawk at my shirt, some even brazen enough to ask what an "EVO" was. I would explain it to them then I showed one of them a picture of my car on my phone and she said "oh my friend has one, except hers doesn't have the bodykit" I was like "umm??" Needless to say it wasn't an EVO obviously. Haha.

Another funny instance at the bar that night was this hot blonde chick walking by who 1) read my shirt then proceeded to try to flick the back of my head except she missed on purpose?? it was weird. Fun times though. I had another guy say "EVO?? I have an STI" and oddly enough a lot of people asked me if I owned an EVO. I just told them that I wouldn't have bought the shirt if I didn't...LOL
