me and a friend were riding through town one day, im in my evo and hes in his tricked out wrx..we passed a pretty nice looking n/a honda prelude..i was waving trying to be friendly like always and both guys give us a thumbs down....we were like wtf?? but ne ways it was funny to us..lol..haters!

 

Simply put, they are jealous of yours and your friends cars. Most likely because:

1) The Prelude isn't turbo
2) The Prelude isn't AWD
3) The Prelude has the "ricer" theme by default.

Next time I wouldn't be as nice. I tend to just stare at people if they look at me, if they give a thumbs up or a smile, I'll return the same.

 

Another story about mine today..funny moment.

I was driving home from work with my bro and we normally pack lunches and what not when we go to work. Anyway, we had our empty gladware containers in plastic bags in the back seat with all the windows down. We get on the highway and low and behold, one of the bags blows out the back window and gets caught on my wing. I LOL'd so hard because it looked hilarious. The lady behind me wasn't thrilled with the bag flew into her car though...oh well ahahah it was good, I should have gotten a pic of it.

First time I was driving to work after I got my car (last month) I had my windows down and overheard a young kid, maybe 6 or 7 say, "mommy look at that car!". It definitely brought a smile to my face. I don't really look around to see who's looking at my car (not narcissistic enough to take my eyes off the road) but I imagine it gets some looks.

 

When little kids see your Evo.....

..... I want to run them over.

 

I was at a gas station and some kid came up to me and said WOOOOOOOOW is that a Skyline!!!! Looked at him and smiled, No it's an Evo.... He said, one day when I grow up, I'm gonna tell my daddy to buy me one.

 

I have had a few senior citizens say "that's a real nice car". It actually feels good to hear it from them. My friend drives a 05 CTS-V, and he says he hates it when senior citizens compliment him on his car.

I. Never forget the time my GF litle brother said my car was broke because of the B.O.V sound

 

always hear the younger kids talking to their friends saying "thats a nice car" but the best for me was when i pulled out of a parking lot and a kid around 16 ish goes "hey mom i want a car like that, can i ?" i just smiled and imagined the answer...NO"

 

Little girl on my street runs from her Dad to the street, points at my Evo and says "Daddy, is that a race car?".. and Daddy says Yes!

Win.

 

had that happen to me while at a stop light, the guy was crossing the street. the cars next to me gave a wtf look, i just smiled.

 

ive got my son and all of my sifes freinds kids calling every car an evo lol ftw and to include bov sounds when he plays with his hotwheels!

 

i picked up my brother from school and a bunch of little kids cheered while i drove by lol embarresing
