When little kids see your Evo.....
i think around nc, people like to honk their horn then wave when they like my car. it catches me off gaurd and makes me jump sometimes and im like "wtf" and i wave back. or i get look "its bumble bee"(transformers) cause its black and yellow, i get that one mostly from the kids. lol
Being a young kid driving my car, I get a lot of "Taking out daddy's car for the night?" Lately my response as been "Yeah you wanna see what daddy's car can do?" haha j/k about the second part. Usually I just get flamed for driving a rice burner in a muscle car town.
Today I had a good one
- My friend and I were both at my friends brothers house working on his cb7 when a kid rolled by on his bike and said "wow, where did you get real race cars?" I kinda just chuckled and continued to work on the car. Talking to me then the kids says "Never mind, your car has back seats, its not a real race car"... He said this while looking at my friends red evo with a full back cage completely stripped.

I was at a family reunion over the weekend and one day my cousin's kid (sub 2 years. I think he's about 18 months) was looking at my car and rubbing his hand on it. So I grabbed him and put him up on the drivers seat and his hands on the steering wheel and let him pretend. When he was ready to get out I pulled him out and he said "You have a nice car."

My friend: He is changing his oil outside of his house, a little kid comes up and says "That's one of them GO FAST Cars isn't it?" My friend said "Hell Yeah" then he realized he just said "Hell Yeah" to a 7 year old. Lol!

A month back during my lunch break I was leaving the bank on pay day. The road is narrow with 2 large buildings on either side so i like to get on it a little because it sounds sweet. Well this hot lil blond was on the sidewalk. As I was getting on it I heard her say love your car. Then as I pass by at WOT she spins around to give me a thumbs up. At that same moment I see her catch the heel of her shoe in the sidewalk and fall HARD! I felt bad and good at the same time. Guy in a truck pulls behind me at the stop light laughing his *** off. Lost chance on meeting a sweet thang, but worth the memory

hmmm story i have is one year ago i when i got my evo and they first day i had it back in town i went to super 1(grociery store) to get some food for the crib etc. I park in the back like i always do and then i was surrounded by 1 tiburon 1 honda hatchback 1 honda civic. All the folks get out there car and one of them walks up to me and says is that a real evo or a wanna be. Im like look at the badges if that does not tell you look at the FMIC. they walk to the front of my car and there liek DUDE its a real evo and the one kid says thats my dream car man but you just dont ever see them and im like yup. I start walking to go in the store and another kid asked what mods do you have. Im like i just got it and parts are coming in. Another kid said i always wanted to race one of those and im like with that stock civic. he like yes and im like no point. i could give you a head start and chase you down but whats the point in that you know the outcome. You have your work cut out to beat that car and mine is stock. I go inside and come out with bags of food etc and the honda gang is still sitting here. so im like ok i get in my car and start to head to the crib next thing i know the same cat in the civic pulls up beside me at a light and starts to rev. im like ok he wants a demo light turns green and he launches it. i ease off and drive normal what he did not know was there as a biker cop waiting at the end of street

its funny, i was driving in front of a shopping center for a parking spot...very very slow...and this kid that was supposed to be gathering the carts ran in the front of everyone to take pics of my evo as i was driving 5 mph..... with his cell phone, its a cool feeling.
Almost makes you feel famous doesn't it?

lol, Well if any of you live in San Diego you may have seen my buddys street legal white Evo 6.5 TME. I was driving it to get a burrito when these hicks in a monster truck pull up next to us reving their engine. The guy rolled his window down and started laughing asking if "that thing was fast." I opened the door (the window was jammed in shipping) and told the guy that people don't spend 5k importing slow RHD cars.

I had the Porsche parked in the "not so nice" part of town where my friend lives. As per normal weekend procedures I passed out there that night. The next morning some kids were on their way to school and one kid called a bunch of his friends to come see the car. My friend came and got me and we looked out the window as about 5 8-12 year old boys walked around taking pics with their cell phones.
