Question I Finally did it, One concern thou

So I made the 350 mile trip form Grand Junction to Colorado Springs over the past weekend. Went down to Phil Long Mitsubishi and met the sales rep I'd been talking to over the phone for past few weeks took a test drive. I must say I was very impressed with the awsome handling and although not as mush power as my modded eclipse it was more than enough and love the lack of turbo lag. My plan was to buy in december since i still needed to sell my other car (wanted to get some value for the extensive mods and only 41,000 miles) after 3 appraisal guys took rides in the eclipse the offered me around 11,000 and no payments until december on the EVO like i wanted. So I made the deal.

My one concern is that i'm now here back in Junction 350 mile away and the only Tarmac Evo in the region is in Casper Wyoming. They are sending someone up to pick it up to bring to CO. Springs for prep and then my sales guy wants to meet me half way in Vail. Should I be concerned about having around 350 miles by the time I take delivery, or happy that by the time I get home breakin will be almost over. Form what I understand the car has not been test driven before hand so all the miles will be on delivery.

If you're **** like the rest of us , then don't let anyone else drive your car. If it isn't riding on a flatbed, then go an pick it up yourself

I agree. Go get it yourself. Usually either retired dudes or young punks shuttle vehicles. The punks are the ones I'd be concerned with.

Pick the car up personally at the dealership. Drive home slowly. By the time you reach home, your car will be almost break in. Just another 100+ miles before you can enjoy the capabilities of your new car.

BTW, conglat on your new car.

i agree... what if they told the old guy or the young punk to "abuse" and "race" the car so that they could void your warranty right away? seems like something the demon known as ****subishi would do

You guys are right,
I would love to pick it up my self but between my 30 hours at work 15 credits of college and 13 hours at my intership i only have one day free a week and I work at 5am the next day so a down and back trip is not realistic (10 hours round trip) plus I took a day off just this past weekend to make the deal.

But I think I have it worked out now the sales guy is going to bring it about half way to Vail himself (good guy late 30's knows his stuff) I can deal with 150 miles alot better.

Wow, my first solo evo drive will be at almost 11000 feet!
(i want to get a picture of it at the vail pass sumitt sign i think its the highest point on the U.S. interstate?) I'm so excited!!

or charge the person a rental fee. Thrills like the Evo don't come cheap.
