Anyone here or know anyone who has a JDM Spec Evo 8 or ANY CAR from Evolution Imports? I just "ordered" a Evo 8 from them and was wondering how reputable this place was. ANY feedback would be great.

shouldn't a jdm spec evo 8 (as opposed to the "impossible to certify" 7s) be able to get street legalized? wouldn't they then have no real reason to deny or postpone delivery?

No worries guys. I appreciate the heads up, and being in the car business here in the Northeast, i'm well aware of all the "tricks of the trade"... sort of speak. I havn't sent anyone money, although i have spoken with Adam Burdette a few times on the phone. Believe me. I have my suspicions, but won't count them out until i recieve the "paper work" he's supposed to send me overnight. Chances are, this deal isn't legit, but for a chance of getting a JDM EVO 8 with AYC, ACD, and an LSD up front for $6000 more than you can get a US Lan EVO, i'm willing to give it a shot. In anycase, i'll keep you guys all posted and up to date with what unfolds in the next couple of days. THanks again for the headsup.

 

They're going to introduce you to Ben Dover's school of getting screwed. Have fun, I'd rather try to find a Skyline for 6,000 more worth of useless crap. I can't believe all of that is worth 6K to you, and not to mention, everyone knows the "tricks of the trade". You're still gonna get screwed. LMFAO

 

All i have to say is Adam is sometimes a dick, he never returns calls, puts everything off, my first car that he was importing magically got "blown up" 2 weeks before i was supposed to get it..........it only had 11,000 miles on its and he said that "it just started blowing smoke, so i had it checked out and they said the engine was gone." so i had to go through the whole process again... overall BAD SERVICE.... not a good business man.

Uhh , first of all FELDGUY, i'm not sending ANYONE ANY money so you can relax about me getting screwed on this deal..altough i do appreciate your concern for my financial wellbeing. But thankfully, after four years of college and extensive experience in the auto industry, i'm well aware of whether or not i'm getting humped. So has ANYONE received delivery on ANY orders from EI?

 

PS... excuse the sarcasm.. i'm not here to pick any fights. Honestly appreciate all the feedback and info that has been offered....will 90% end up taking delivery on a US spec Lan Evo. BTW, anyone else think the 04 Lancer is fuglier than ever? Is Mitsu trying to beat itself with the same ugly stick that Subaru used on their WRX??

 

i'm still curious as to how many people have actually RECIEVED their cars from them.
