HVAC controls links-Hard to turn problem

Hi guys.
I got a comparation picture for the HVAC control links that mitsubishi re-desing. right side came out of my 2003 evo 8 and the left side is the new kit from mitsubishi. Part number : 7801A110 Link,Heater Air. This kit should help with the hard to turn temp knob.

Are the HVAC controls for the 8 worse than the 9? I wouldn't exactly call the ones in my car "effortless", but if they can also benefit from some new re-design, great!

I see that when you say "left" you mean civilian left and not military left.

Are you sure?, the ones on the right look like the ones in my car that made the left knob break off, plus they already have the oil on them. Are the ones on the left the new parts? I'm sure they are and you just got your directions confused. Just making sure so I don't end up ordering what I already have.

I'm so sorry guys.
I'm wrong, the new links are the ones in the left side, the dirty ones are the ones removed from my evo 8 2003.
