As for the door crash beams....What I was meaning is that for those with an 03 to swap out the steel ones and put in the aluminum ones would prove to shed a few pounds.

I'm saying that I don't think it's lighter. Every cf hood that I have seen other than the dry fiber ones are 21 pounds or so. The stock hood is 19 pounds.

robispec makes or made the lightest hood out there. 10lbs. its cf. I think it requires hood pins though

Thought I would bring this thread back from the dead. If you have a RS, there isn't enough sound deadening under the carpet to make it worth taking it out.

Good thread.. I'm looking into installing a slim fan. Anyone know how much the stock fan weights vs. a typical slim fan? I still haven't found the definitive wiring how to either.

About a 100 decisions to make when buying a slim fan - Amp draw, # of blades, Fan CFM, Pusher/puller, blade material? Any advise!

I'm also about to remove the P/S cooling lines.. Id guess just by looking at them they are only a pound or less.

All depends on what you are after.

The BR battery kit saves 20lbs!

I think there is some potential in the slim fan, ideally getting the half size radiator to go along with it.

The AMS mini battery kit save me 15lbs. But I guess that's all dependent on what battery is present in the car. Also don't forget, if u remove your rear bumper beam, insurance won't cover you if you are rear ended. You can try your hardest not to rear end someone, just looking out or you guys.
