Congrads on the addition to your family!!

Same thing happened to me, so I sold one of my 4 Evos and my 06 eclipse at the time and got a MB ML 550 AMG.

Me and the family love it!! Plus it tows my other Evos like a champ.

4 evos? Aesome but why?? What's the use of owning 4 evos? One per season? Just curious if you don't mind

It was one of the most wierdest experiences of my life!!!! I felt like I was being video taped and violated at the same time. I told the doctor after the first time and he gave me the option of filling the cup at home and bringing it in. Needlest to say I brought it in from that point on. It took me and my wife about 28 months to get pregnant with our second and a little longer than that with the most recent.

Oh and my doctor's office was behind the times he still had VHS but that was a little over 4 years ago.

I need to do what you do for a living!!!! I can't afford something like that right now, especially after just purchasing a minivan for the wife.

It is very very nice though.

A 9lbs 12oz bundle of joy my first son. I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old daughter. Now we have a beautiful family of 5.

Now for the problem. I can no longer transport my family in my car safely. Due to laws and well common sense, my oldest has to be in a booster seat. Well, you can't fit 2 car seats and a booster seat in the back of an Evo. I don't think it is legal to drive with the door bungy corded shut.

With that being said, has anyone on here found a combination to safely put 2 car seats and a booster seat in their Evo?

My guess is now so I will probably be getting an suv or truck of some sort. I love my evo but I think it may be time to grow up some and before somebody says it can't afford to keep the Evo and another vehicle payment on top of my wife's minivan payment as well.

Thanks,
STevo
I am expecting my 3rd in January. I gave up my first evo ('04 white RS) after my first kid & when we were expecting our second. I made enough money on the sell to buy a DD with cash. Then I couldn't take it anymore and found a cheap evo to buy for myself. Now that we are having our third kid, I will find a way to keep my evo. I am not giving it up again.

I don't agree when I hear people say they "might need to grow up & sell the evo." What does having an evo have to do with being "immature?" The evo doesn't make the owner immature, the owner does. Strip it down to stock & drive it sensibly and it is no different than a Audi.

There are plenty of cheap SUV's out there now with the cash for clunkers deal.

I am exploring the option of picking up an extended cab full size or suv but want something reliable and not a 1500 problem vehicle.

In regards to the growing up comment I didn't mean it in an immature manner of growing up, I meant it as Making a grown up decision to get a reliable vehicle with the ability to haul my family safely. I love my Evo and well to be honest so does my girls my wife included. I have worked very hard to get the Evo. I am not taking it lightly. The funny part is my wife is not wanting me to get rid of the Evo but we really can't take on another payment right now. Like I said I just don't want a 1500 POS i would have to dump another 1500 or more into.

Oh and about the question of teaching my wife to drive it. She has to also use the minivan for work so that idea won't fly regardless. She is a social worker who also has to pick up and drive around multiple kids from ages 3 to 18 for field trips and other group things.

Congrats on the addition! I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a 9 month old son as well! I've not tried to fit them all in the EVO since they all fit fine in my wife's Honda Odyssey , though I have taken my 4 year old in it and she loves the ride .

I think one is a race Evo.

They really have **** to watch? Why not just have your wife come in and "help" you out? I've never understood that.. Sure if I'm donating and have no significant other I'd want the "extras" but if I have a significant other... bring her in naked and I'm good to go.

It is far from an Audi... But I also disagree with the "growup" in a maturity level sense, more like how the OP meant it. Especially when talking of an VIII or IX... You can easily "grow up" and get into a X.

You know how Cash for Clunkers works right? If someone trades in an SUV and gets the C4C deal on it... they run the motor without oil at full speed until it seizes and scrap it, or otherwise deem it undrivable (I've seen a few high schools with them at their Auto Mechanics classes, they have stickers all over stating that it is illegal to license, title, or drive the vehicle). That's right, your tax dollars are going towards ruining motors of perfectly fine cars just because they get poor gas mileage. The only reason there are cheap SUVs out there is because no one is buying them.

Minivan loads of kids? The Evo has room for 4!

Unless one of the seats is imaginary, you ain't fitin' three seats in the back. I even tried it using a Porsche car seat (which has the narrow bottom to fit in the back of a 911) - it didn't fit...

The two IX's are shop cars, one time attack and one NASA SCCA build.
My 3rd Evo the X MR is my daily driver when I am not driving the benz.

The 4th Evo and the 06 eclipse I traded in for the Benz.

Yep, they gots pr0n. I asked about the no wife rule, but they wouldn't give me an exact reason other than the "no other bodily fluids" crap. Oh well. We stopped with the fertility stuff last year, and now my wife's about a month pregnant ... woot! I guess persistence pays off.

My advice to the OP: sell the Evo and look forward to getting an X in the future. If you can, take the time to sell it privately and then look for a replacement car. It's what I did when I was looking to dump my '08 Forester XT in favor of an A8. Compared to having just traded it in, I came out waaaayy ahead.
