weird rev limit thing with my 03

IDK if I have something wrong or if its stock but my car wont hit rev limiter when my car is stopped or anytime in first gear either it just keeps going! If im parked with the car running and try to rev it, it just hits 6 grand with the clutch in or out. The rev limit is set to 7800rpms where sean ivey set it with my tune is what it says on my dyno sheet and when sean told me. It also did the same thing before the tune also. My friends 06 evo bounces rev limiter all the time on launches and everything and I wish I could but im scared to go to high in 1st because I see the rpms go to almost 9 a few times when I wasnt quick enough to shift with the wheel spin. anyone have this happen with their car to?

Two things

Why are you trying to wind your car up to almost 8k without moving, and secondly, Statioanry rev limiter.

If you're redline is set to 7800 how is your car hitting "almost 9"... You'd be boucning off of the limiter at 7800..

Take it to the shop to have them check it out to see if it shorted out or something. Not really something to mess around with

yeah I dont get it either. I havent had a chance to look at it yet but I plan to tomorrow. I just dont understand how it could have something to do with the rev limiter not kicking in if the 2step works fine
