Rolling Fenders turn bad
I did all the safe procedure before rolling my fenders, i mad sure the heat gun had heated up before rolling but i guess Mitsubishi cars paint really sux....
So one sided is rolled fine but the other side has paint cracked.
Does anyone know a good idea to fix this problem besides using touch up paint? The crack is only visible inside the fender lining i was suggested to spray the bottom with black to make sure it won't rust

yes, you were correct in your first posting. The best thing to do is repaint the cracked portions to prevent rusting. spray paint it if you can, or if touch up paint will work, then do that.
definitely repaint the cracked areas the best you can...as far as heat is concerned I used a blow dryer and was able to get them warm enough to not crack
you needed more heat

As someone who will be rolling fenders some time this winter, I am curious about what you've learned from the process. What did you differently left & right that helped you keep one side from cracking and not the other?
Also, any pix?

lots of heat and take your time...take a good 5-10 steps back and look from different angles for uniformity...my mistake was not taking a good look from a few feet back for evenness...be careful where the fender meets the rear bumper it's easy to make it bubble out more than the rest of the fender
i rolled mines, paint inside cracked as well i just cleaned and used primer. make sure you cover all areas before spraying, it is nice to do it on a lift, easy access

yep going to spray it! my tires rub i need to roll it..thanks for everyone's info..as for the rolling it was very hot already and it still cracked not saying i am a professional but i am stating the truth
I will be rolling my fenders this winter to make way for my nt03's I just got. The way I have always rolled fenders is to cut the fender lip with a cutoff saw. I used an air powered cutoff saw and cut slits in the lip in the wheels well about 1/2" apart. Then once your cutting is one, heat the fender up enough that it is fairly warm to the touch. Then you can simple take you fingers and just press the lip back against the backside of the quarter.
I did this on my xb with no paint cracking and no damage to the outside of the quarters.
It is much easier than it sounds.

Sound like it did come out to bad. i used to roll fenders for Nissan guys and it just made a big dent in the right rear quarter panel for some reason, this was a 50-50 chance it would happen. So some paint cracks are not bad, good job. If you can post some pic's of the car with the rims on with a nice stance.
