Getting ready for winter

Hey guys just picked up an evo viii and I'm starting to get it ready for winter, ordered some mudflaps. Taking the front lip off, getting a set of winter tires for the stock rims. I work at a dealership doing undercoating and some paint work as well as detailing. The plan is to put the car on the lift once a week or so and spray it all down. As well as doing a paint protection and touching up the undercoat. My question now is what else should I be looking into doing? I live in northern Alberta and last winter we had about 2 weeks of -50 Celsius. Anyone have luck with oil pan heaters for our cars?

First spray that thing everywhere salt can go:
http://www.corrosionx.com/marine.html

Easy to apply easy to take off after winter is done.

Second enjoy the snow!

just use a degreaser like Simple Green or other brand.

I'm an Mercury Outboard Dealer since 1980 and we have been using that product since it was released. We applied on all our brand new engine after installation.

It will apply a slim protection on the place you spray, it will be a bit greasy but will repel everything like salt and will NOT wash away with water easly like WD-40.

We saved a lot of engine who "drown".

I use that product as well on my Evo since i live near the sea.

Product on ACD pump after spray:
.

I don't know if I would trust those dipstick heaters to really get the job done I'm starting to lean towards an oil Pan heater just trying to figure out which one since it appears I cannot find an evo 8 block heater

Also I have not taken delivery of my evo yet we are still waiting on it being shipped to our dealership so I have another question, I have looked at pictures of the oem oil pan and see that there is a flat part that I could attach the pan heater to. What I'm wondering is the approx size of that flat part if the car was here I could check myself but I would like to have everything ready so that when we do the out of province inspection all the winter mods get done to and then it's good to go.
