2006 EVO IX dim headlights?
Not sure on the Evo because it does have a glass projector but many 55watt kits get to hot and tend to melt harnesses and housings .
I have also never been a fan of DDM because there Hid kits are not as bright , clear and pure as some of the other kits .
SIlverstar bulbs also tend to go out very rapidly .
Good luck !

another option is HIRs... I got mine from John Deere. They are brighter than stock, but not as bright as HIDs. They supposedly don't pull the amps that silverstars do, so they do not pose a risk to your wiring harness.
I switched my factory bulbs with silverstars (not ULTRA) but I still cant see on some roads...
That's wierd. I've never had headlights, or any conventional lightbulb get dimmer before blowing out or failing. Even so, with the trouble you're going to go through replacing the bulbs, upgrade to hids. I did and I love them.
