What kind of motor? Stock? Built?

The rod came through the block, not the piston.

a lot of variables, bad gas, dad's friend's driving, bad tune (doubt it), etc. Could be many things but don't jump to any conclusions/pointing fingers without investigating.

the rod through the block mean the car has been pushed really really hard then prolly missed a gear or ever reeved it, because for a rod to go through am iron block it either takes a lot of power or missed gear/pushed hard on a unhealthy engine..

the guy driving my car is a good freind and an experienced mechanic, the motor was not built, but i did have cosworth 272 cams done, the tune is 4ws so i highly doubt thats the problem, the oil that came out was straight black and i just did an oil change a month ago =( idk what to do

seems theres be a problem lately with cam sensors going bad. taking fuel and adding timing causing the motor to blow. thats not the first evo that threw a stock rod out the side ya know....... it happens.

Your info says that you are in Freehold.

Turbo Trix is in Edison, Ivey is in Linden, both of whom could help out with finding & installing a new motor.

You might also contact DogBox Racing (in Howell) if you need someone really close.

Hope this works out for you.

Good luck.

maybe someone with more knowledge can elaborate

but I'm going to go out on a limb and say driving on a bad/faulty camshaft sensor couldn't have helped the situation
