intake dilemma...

alright so i had an evo before i got my 9 mr and i have a k&n filter and an maf adapter that were only used for about 5k miles laying around in my garage. would this be a good intake to use. i have heard that the perrin intake is the best you can get, but how much better would it be that this? i mean i am using the oem plumbing just changing the filter. would i be better off to just get a k&n panel filter and use that in the stock box. any input would be great thanks.

Depending on your future goals with the car. If you plan on modding, you might as well go for the intake pipe too, you will eventually want/need it.

I hear ya, that's usually the 1st steps we all took. You don't need an intercooler if that's all you plan on doing. I would highly suggest a tune and a Manual/Electric boost controller and you'll be set!

Good Luck with the car

I had stock intake with K&N which works fine, i upgraded about 2 weeks ago to the perrin..a world of difference and works perfect untuned. No idle issues or anything I definatly reccomend it.

that really depends on your goal. If I had to do over again, I would have plan it better. I too had the K&N and went with the Perrin route.
