What could it be?!!?
A lineup of aftermarket tuned models, from the subtle to the
extreme, will be headlined by several high performance modified versions of the Lancer Evolution.
Hmm I wonder if these have all been denied warranty

These aftermarket tuned models will most likely be Evo company project cars. For sure you'll see the K&N Evo project car there. I don't know who else will bring out Evos, but rest assured that there will be tons there. When I went to SEMA last year, they had a bunch of boosted 350Zs (I liked the GReddy Z!), Toyota MR Spyders, and Tiburons all over the Las Vegas Convention Center.

All signs point to Mitsubishi having Ralliart performance parts on display there. With this in mind maybe this "latest edition" is a Ralliart Evo or even possibly an HKS Evo, since Mitsu has a good relationship with HKS. Just a few ideas...

Rumor has it that our front diff is defective, which i feel a front LSD from that new car will replace nicely

I do, unless two people I've talked to lied to me. It's possible but not likely. Why don't I go and find out for you

Subaru will also have a few things there.
...Subaru will display a variety of production-based vehicles tuned to exacting specifications. A wide range of SPT (Subaru Performance Tuning) and STi (Subaru Technica International) parts and accessories will also be on display, and we may have a few surprises as well!
