have had the ets mini battery kit using the odyssey pc680 for prolly about 2 years now zero problems. However I do live in an area that hardly ever gets below 40F.

Yeah, I'm not bashing the mini battery, but if you live where it's cold, and don't have a garage or somewhere you can plug a trickle charger up to it's the next best/cheapest choice.

i run a braille mini and if it sits longer than 2 weeks the battery is dead i have to keep a battery tender hooked up to it when i dont drive it. if it didnt cost me an arm and a leg for the carbon fiber one i wouldve changed it out.

Hope I don't jinx it but, I've been running the same Odyssey PC-680 in my daily driver since August 06 and have had no problems at all. My car is garaged which probably helps in the winter. It is a little slow turning over when sitting out all day with the temps in the teens but it always starts.

I like it because it takes alot less space and is a bit lighter. Mine works great, I'm keepin it.

Noob question here, if your mini battery is dead can you get a jump from someone with a regular size battery and vice versa, can I jump someone with a regular size battery?

got a mini battery in the trunk
I have one in my s14.
If you are going to leave it sit, disconnect the battery--also helps detter thieves.

Just dont use anything but a trickle charger to recharge it. I think jumping it is fine though.

I've been running the same Enersys 14.5lb mini battery since late 2005. If I leave it sit for 2 weeks it turns over slow. If I leave it sit for 1 week it starts right up; never any issues. It's also garaged and doesn't really get below freezing in Seattle area.

I think the whole 'mini battery' thing is a bad idea, especially when swapping out the OEM upper intercooler pipe has not proven to provide substantial gains.

"Let's see..........I'm going to spend XXX.XX dollars for something that gives no noticable HP improvement, but the trade off is my car may not start on a cold morning"

To each his own, but I think this is a bad idea.

I've had mine for 1.5 years. It does suck in the winter. After 3 or 4 days it's dead. In a warm climate or summer it is great. But mines not a daily driver.
