Great way to shave weight and clean-up the engine bay.

My car started every time, even on the -10F MN winter days.

I've had mine for two years with zero issues and this is my DD. Then again, I'm in San Diego. If I was in a cold state, I would relocate.

To each his own, but I think this is a bad idea.
thats why if you relocate it to the trunk you get the best of both worlds. just takes a little bit of work.

as long as you don't mind replacing the mini-batt every 2 years or so at around 95-135$ a pop then go for it

the batteries are only rated for 2-3 years max unless you run a float charger to keep voltage above 13.2-13.8 or so according to odysseys own specs. given that i am on my 3rd battery in 6 years, id say this recommendation is pretty spot on

if you use it as a DD then it may still start & run after this duration, but in my experience after two years they seems to have problems maintaining full voltage & you may experience breaking up under boost, hard starting & if left sitting long enough it will run down the voltage & not start

I am about to relocate to the trunk but with a red top. Dont feel like risking the "little" battery.

For wiring, you should run 1 gauge wire! It is safer!

Same opinion if you garage the car? I only drive once a week or less, but I do hook it up to a trickle for longer waits

I would double check with your track first. If you do this, make sure you get a removable switch so people don't tamper with your car in the parking lot. Hate that..

Thanks!

Running an ETS mini battery kit in my EVO. Even when I dont drive my EVO for a couple days, it still starts fine.
