for those running mini batteries
I have the JMF one and am extremely happy. I don't daily drive my car & keep it on a battery tender though so i don't want to give any false info about daily driving. A buddy of mine has had no issues with his even in the last few winter months with the car sitting, and has been praising it.
Ive got a pc680 didnt work well at first but I found some wiring issues fixed em now even after sitting outside for a week even after all the snow i cleared it off started slow but fine.
If you don't daily drive, do not get mini battery... they die pretty fast...
Only do it if you really need to save weight or IC pipe can't be install with stock battery size. ( and you don't want a battery in the boot...
BUT if you have an automatic battery charger, will help a LOT to keep battery cycling.

It's been around the 30 degree mark the last few weeks and I can still go out once a week and it starts up instantly.
well i went with relocating it in my trunk
heres how it turned out
HUGE THANKS TO Psquared for all the help with my questions
it costed my 17 bucks in parts(tray, terminal clamp, ground cable)
i just used a 4 gauge set of jumper cables (got them for free) and split the wires apart and used one wire to run up to the engine bay. cant beat it for about 2 hours worth of work and 17 bucks

I don't agree with that statement. Like others and I have said, we aren't experiencing this dead battery issue. Some of either drive ours in cold weather everyday or just go out and start the car up once a week to let it run without issues. I'd say that not all batteries are created equal. Plus if you have a newer battery and it's dieing, you might consider an electrical problem because it shouldn't have that much of an issue.

I probably have no luck then, batteries lasted 1 1/2 year only, had 3 change already.
Also my cousin having the same issue with his Evo mini battery.
24-35 Celcius and 80-90% Humidity all year.
^^
If the battery is dieing in 77 degree weather, then there is something wrong. What battery manufacturer do you have? Also, if you only start the car twice a month, I'm not sure what to say. I'd never let it go that long.

i had a braille and after 2 days of not driving it would be dead. so i relocated an optima yellow top to the trunk and after 4 days its dead haha.. i def have a problem and gotta find it. im tired of having to jump my car everytime i wanna drive it
but the crazy thing is it never did this till it got cold. it was fine all summer long and now both batteries wont last long? confused on that one but ill bring out the meter and try to find whats draining it.
I do think the problem we have on the island is we don't drive long enough to charge properly the battery ( island is pretty small )
Proper size in the trunk is definitely the best. Front looks much better w/o the battery there & of course, the weight distribution is better. Should mount it in a closed box, vented to the atmosphere. This is so that any battery(acidic) vapors can exit the vehicle, so they don't; eat any upholstery, and don't accumulate and create any other hazard. Especially in hot climates.
