Definately agree that some overthink too much on this. As long as you have taken measures to make the car a little friendlier, drive the car well and the baby has a good seat strapped in, it shouldn't be a big ordeal.

nothing wrong, as long as no fumes anything from exhaust, and if you do launch it make sure the kid is straped in good.

I feel bad enough taking my grandmother for a drive with the way my car is set up. I wouldn't put a child in an Evo but that is my opinion. Buy yourself another car is my opinion. Though it is possible to drive evos like civilized people. =P

I've got a 6 year old daughter and a new baby on the way in August. That is EXACTLY why I bought an EVO. It's the closest I'll ever get to a minivan. Don't drive like an *** and I'm sure you and your child will be fine.

Drive safely and everything will be fine. I use it daily to drop my daughter and kids to school. It is just like any other family sedan.

I took off the exhaust and put the stock one back on for my 2 month old and she seems to like it but she sometimes flinch when the BOV goes off.

Very funny - my brother and I used to sit in the back of a '63 (which my father still has)!

EVOs are by in large very safe. Amazing breaking, good visability, owners that are usually defensive drivers. As long as the driver is responsible, then slap on the baby on board sticker and gogogo.

From newborn to current age, my daugther has always done well in my Evo. Just drive sensibly.
