Modified as in??? 2.3 Stroker, 35r, straighpipe? Or basic bolt ons? Evo's are well rounded cars, but i'm not too sure about a new born, the suspension isn't too comforting for some.

The fact the Evo came factory with stickers showing baby seat attachments on the rear seats should say it all. I purchased this knowing I could use it with children that I plan on having within the next year or two.

A seat like that is not needed until your child is at least 1.5 years old.

I don't think newborns are safe in ANY car. So, I think you're in the clear.

This is like asking "Am I safe in my home?" Situation dictates.

How do you drive? Are you using the necesary equipment? What kind of drivers are in your area? Those are all questions you should be asking yourself....

If you have to ask yourself this question..... You probably shouldn't have children.

I tote two around every day and I can manage to drive reasonable and prudent.

You know Recaro makes child car seats, and there is one that matches the interior of the EVO9 SE real nice, already told the wife we are getting one.

i have the recaro seats for my 4 year old and my 1 1/2 year old.

the 1 1/2 year old was all through the evo and NEVER any problems. he's smarter than his older brother at this time so i would never suspect any problems from "the type of car you drive" unless he's breathing and sucking in gas and smoke then he/she should be good to go. or you don't let his baby seat loose and he bumps his head all over the place but really could happen in ANY car.

so you have my bid for an OK from EXPERIENCE.

btw, he LOVES when i give it some gas. they both start laughing and the older one says go go go! also, i have a TBE and it's considerably LOUD. yet we have seen no side effects and his doctor always gives the thumbs UP.

My 3 year old niece always loves it when I get on it a little too, she always says "Go fast" I do it safely though and never get out of first, but yeah, If you dont drive like an asshat almost any car is "safe"
