Just wondering. Who thinks rota wheels are ****s?!! I have seen some people that hates them and thinks only the bigger brand name wheels like works, Advans, and some others are cool. As for me i don't care. I like em in anyways.

to me its like seeing girls with fucci and fouis vuitton bags. yeah you sort of have it but not really and we all know it. thats why i dont have wheels on my car yet im waiting for REAL set of Advans.

if you use Rota's with a set of winter tires for the winter than thats cool. but if you take off your Rota's in like november store them in a nice cozzy spot in the corner of your garage and take them out on that first 60 degree day then ehhh.

Rota wheels came with the car I bought. I have no problems with them. You'd have to give some extremely good reason why I should pay 2x (or more) for other wheels.

There isn't one other than brag factor. Ridiculous to me they're wheels. If they look good they look good.

What? the bragging factor is not reason enough to spend 3x as much? now you are just being cheap....lol jk

For the average person/evo owner...Rota's baby!

No one in my area would know what a Volk or Advan wheel is.

Mine look good and that's all that matters.

It's hard to argue that an identical wheel that says ROTA doesn't look quite as good as one that says Volk, Advan, etc. on it. Not to mention that I can find several examples of a Rota knockoff being a few pounds heavier per wheel than the real thing. They're not bad wheels on their own. Some people don't mind being cheapskates.

Edit: also Rota''''''s''s''''''''s

I have been on both sides of the coin. I've owned numerous Volks and Advans when I had my Honda and I'm on my second set of Volks on my Evo.

I like both. The reason I bought Volks for my car are: Not sure what style wheels I liked better (TE-37 or CE-28), wanted to concentrate on making the car faster but also wanted it to look good at the same time, TE-37's did not come in the offset I wanted but the Rota's did).

Now that all being said I'm close to having the parts I wanted to get my car as fast as I was aiming for. So next year I will splurge on a set of Vokks. I'm thinking CE-28N's, TE's or RE's in 18X10.5 +15. If Rota made a size like that I would consider getting them but they dont.

You get what you can afford. I don't track my car. I drive it on the street and if the wheels look good and take daily driving abuse then there is nothing wrong with that.

There are some that will counter and say buying knockoffs makes it so that the makers of the real wheels don't want to sell in the US or quite possibly put them out of business but I believe there are people that are label ****** and only buy brand name **** and there are people that will buy what works for their budget.

My dad took my car and went to go get it washed for me to do something nice but went through the automatic car wash....it jacked my wheels up. If had Volks on my car I would've been SOOPER PISSED but they were Rota's so I wsn't really sweating it. I was mad but I sold the wheels and used it as an excuse to get some other Rota's i wanted to get.
