Mini Batt Prob

Ok, here's the issue:

I bought the ETS Mini Battery Kit, and bought a Odyssey PC680...it's been in the car for only a week.

Here's my prob. If I take any kind of trip...long, short and don't let it sit for a while before I try and start it again...it just clicks, not even turns the motor over. Just the starter clicking.

Ok but here's what I do know, I put in a stock replacement battery and I have no starting issues at all.

Did you buy your ETS mini battery kit n PC680 new? And why didnt you get the ETS battery w/ the ETS kit?

I have the ETS kit w/ ETS battery and never have any problems.

Yeah, check the charging system and load test the battery.

Agree, throw a volt meter on it (while running) and see if it putting out 13+ volts.

When you let it sit for a while, it will start?
If that is the case, might be a bad starter?

Yes it gets over 13 volts at idle...
Yes if it sits for a while w/ the mini battery it starts not prob.

But what I'm saying is that say I'm running around town and decide to shut the car off to go into the store if I come back within 10-15 min it'll just click...once again this is all with the mini batt.

The stock battery I have zero issues with...I can stop start stop start all I want and never hesitates to start...tightened it up and now I'm trouble free and loving my mini battery again!

Got my prob fixed...I had a bad ground going to the car...the terminal on the battery was tight...but the bolt to the car was a little loose causing the bad connection...

Interesting that the bad ground seemed ok after sitting for a while...
Glad you found a fix...I've been thinking about getting a mini-battery so I keep double checking to see if I am going to give myself any headaches or not

I would say make the switch to a mini battery...since I've fixed the prob I've had zero issues...and the mini is designed to be better than the stock battery

Not to cause a flame war, but I don't think a mini battery can ever be as capable as a stock sized battery. There will always be a drawback
