I have an 06 GG IX SE and i get anywhere from 14 to 18 around town depending on how i drive and in a month or two i am going to do a road trip with my buddies and thinking about taking her! its about 4000 miles round trip and i was wondering what some people get on the highway cause i do absoluetly "0" highway driving and i have other cars i can drive but not nearly as fun as the Evo plus girls on the highway and ya know... normal road trip in an evo would be a f***ing blast so i was wondering what is that best estimate people will get on the highway in the northern states with 91-93 octane. I am tuned and i thought my tuner could maybe take some hp away and give me better fuel mileage which would be awesome then just reflash it to the way it is? possibly?

 

You are going to get CLOSED really fast. Try searching. And I get about 22-23 is on the hwy staying around 70-75

 

when i drive across country i get to 350 miles when the gas light comes on.. traveling 80-90mph

 

Yeah it seems that Evo's love the 80-90 mph range. Car is so smooth in 5th at that speed. I vote to up some speed limits

oh i forgot to mention i have a 6speed, so my rpms are a bit lower

 

I have a six speed too, but I am on E85. Problem with my gas mileage lies in my right shoe...

 

i got 26 mpg on highway

 

My fuel mileage is 23-24 Highway. 18-19 around town.

Sure, I wanted an MR with 6-speed But whatever.

Take the Evo and a gas card

 

I've got an MR, and the best I've ever done on the highway was 24mph. usually it's around 21-22

 

OP sounds like your constantly in boost. On pump I manage 22-26 and on E85 I manage 18ish cause I cant keep my car outta boost!

LOL, EVO forums should have threads about MPG.

But if you wanna get more mileage, your cruise area of your fuel map can be modified to give you better MPG. But this is something that basically no tuners do during a normal tune. I do it only when requested.
