New Toy - EVOScan Navigator
New Toy - EVOScan Navigator

So far it works as advertised on my IX with the 1.3u cable. I have my LC1 logging directly through the ECU and added the definitions to EVOScanPPC, it works as expected, ditto for my 4bar MAP logging. The iGo GPS is also pretty slick.
The only irritating things are:
1.) When I remove the SD card to bring it to my desktop PC for log analysis, I have to hard reset the unit for it to read the card again and start EVOScan.
2.) Whenever I hard reset the unit, the date/time reverts back to Jan. 1st 2003
3.) The rats nest of cables on my dash.
There is an updated version of the application I haven't tried yet, hopefully it fixes these quirks. Having an always there ability to log without a laptop on the passenger seat far outwieghs these irritations.

Hamish built this as well as the regular version of EVOScan, everything you need is for sale on the EVOScan web site here:
http://www.limitless.co.nz/
$379 plus shipping; I payed for expedited shipping and had mine in 4 business days.
There is also a couple of other threads on evom, search for "EVOScan GPS"

That is very cool! The only thing that I dont really like is the overall appearance of it. It would be cool if someone were to mount that in a double din to clean up the mess of cables everywhere.

I just ordered one of these, I should be getting it monday or tuesday. I'm hoping to run the cable behind the dash, and possibly hardwire in the power. Then I'll just have a mini-usb cable sticking up from the back of my dash, where I will plug the unit in.
I also plan on using this as my boost, and afr gauges so I get to save money there.
The logging at a touch of a button is what really got me interested in this unit, until they got the 2.0 cable functional, but then I'd still need guages, and a new $200 cable.

By the way, if it's still requiring a hard reset after you insert the sd card before you can launch evoscan. I've found that if I go to the multimedia app, I can pull and insert the card without it causing any problems.
Should at least save you from having to set the date again.
