Kinda a bummer but I'm still gonna pick one up looks like it does what I need w/o having to lug my laptop along with me all the time.
If you need help with the rats nest of wires, My plan is to run the EvoScan GPS to this Centech Ap-2 Auxiliary fuse panel.

I just got mine also, and it's an awesome tool for me. I had to load it with garmin to get a Japan map in English, GPS is a must in the Tokyo area and its great not to need a laptop anymore for logging/ecu writting.
FYI you can't log GPS speed on it yet, I had that sellected and my evoscan GPS wouldn't connect(at first I thought it was my tactrix cable) for logging till I deselected logging of GPS speed. Must be because the GPS laptimer is not yet an operational feature.
