Ugh need more help!!!

So i was driving today nothing crazy just normal driving shifts around 3,000 rpm's. I was coming up to a stop light and go to push in my brakes and i had no break pressure!! I pushed in harder and they finally caught. I pulled into the next parking lot i could and turned the car off and did a quick visual inspection. Nothing leaking nothing apparent broken. I decide to try to get the car home it was only 2 or 3 miles. I start the car and it is running like crap, I stall twice pulling out of the parking spot and 2 more times just getting onto the main road. As i am driving home i hear a weird cranking sound and it felt like i had a slight mis alignment (my steering wheel had a little shake, i might have just been paranoid). The clutch also felt weird like it was vibrating a little when i would push it in. I finally make it home and turn off the car. There was a puddle of water under the car which was kind of odd because i didnt have my air conditioning on. The weird part was my brakes were very inconsistent on the way home i would have no pressure and they would be normal. Today is the hottest day i have driven the car so far (i bought it a few weeks ago). My mods are cams intake tbe manual boost controller and the engine was rebuilt a couple thousand miles ago. It has a tune and the only other probelms i have had until now was occasional stalling from the cams i assumed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i did a search and came up empty. You guys have all been a great help so far so thank you in advance for the help!!

sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere, check for that when the car is running. also do pressure test from the turbo pressurizing the system and look for leaks when the car is off. this is where you need to start.

Here is a great How To for a Boost Leak Test...How and Why...from TedB. Very knowledgeable guy who contributes A LOT to this site!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...g-how-why.html

Check around your engine bay for any disconnected or loose vacuum lines...Most of the time (at least in my case) you can hear where the loose or disconnected line is if the car is running...

Good Luck!

Sounds like you bought an Evo that probably have been beaten to death by the last owner. If you were able to drive the car home, might not be vac leak but it's always good to do that. You might need to bleed your brake system. There is a how to for that as well. Just do some search under How-To section. Oh and welcome to the forum.

it was not beaten to death the guy i bought it from got it stock and started modding it but then he lost his job and was forced to sell i bought the car with literally 200 miles on the engine and other mods so unless it was beaten on by the previous owner as a stock evo then it is in great condition
