Do you disable your clutch switch?
Will unplugging the switch effect the factory launch control ? I know with the clutch switch on I'm able to hit the launch controller in N or 1st gear as long as the clutch is fully pressed down.

Again there are 2 switches. The one we are talking about will not effect ECU functions like the 2 step or the NLTS
damage the car by disabling the clutch switch? - no
no adverse effect by disabling the clutch switch? - no
good idea? thats up to you
you can damage the car if you or anyone else leaves the car in gear and tries to start it, and that damage could have adverse effects on your car. leaving the car in gear wouldnt be a good idea.
i have it done due to my alarm, but even when i dont have my alarm start the car, its pretty nice to be able to start the car easily. i dont leave my car in gear when i park anyway...we dont have many big hills here.

people keep saying, "if someone else starts your car and it's in gear, and they don't know..." well if someone else started the car, but didn't know your switch was disabled, they'd push the clutch in to start it normally, so there shouldn't be any issues associated with that.
Is there any data to back up the claim that cold start increases engine wear when using modern synthetic oils? Most oils that we use around here (Redline, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple among others) all have relatively high levels of molybdenum dithiophosphate which provides excellent protection in conditions experienced curing cold-start.
I imagine the same people that disable their clutch switches to "prevent cold start bearing wear" as being on the same boat as people that rub crystals to ward off illness and keep gargoyles around their house to scare off evil spirits.
My switch is plugged in, and always will be.
