stock guage cluster bulb out!!!

hey guys my stock guage cluster in the rpm guage the light is very dim from 1k rpms to 4k rpms just want to figure out how to fix this if i need a new bulb in the back and how to remove the cluster without breaking it lol its so hard to drive at night with it out PLEASE HELP!!!!

Remove the 2 screws right under the dash (just above the cluster), then pull the bezel out. There are 4 screws, 2 on each side of the cluster. Once they are removed you have to kinda twist it sideways and wiggle it to get it out. Then there are 2 plugs to pull out and you should be free.

lol ok deal, ill be ripping that out tomorrow do you know where you can get new bulbs also

Call Russell for the bulbs. The bulbs come with a colored plastic/rubber coating on them. If you remove the coating, the bulbs (and correspondingly the dash display) will be much brighter.

It's an easy job.

i would never bring it to the deal to do anything even if its warrantied especially mistu they all suck azz i cant stand them

I just bought these same parts you need from mitsubishiparts.net yesterday. In case you need the part number for the two or three bulbs you need to replace(order extra in case something is wrong with one) it is:

81299F


Good luck, and also i believe you will need to pull of the little plastic iece to the left of the cluster to get the cluster out. It is simple, just pull and it pops right out. It is the plastic piece where your fog/ACD is located.

also your "drives:" it should be viii not iiiv

mine keeps going on and off in the MPH spot thats like in the 40mph area...i just pound the dash and it comes back on...wtf? lol
