Valentine's Day Disaster
to clear this up, I didn't say YOU were driving recklessly, and didn't attack you personally. I attacked the statement YOU made about NO ONE in your party driving recklessly when they obviously were. Actually, it's people like YOU and your friends who give people like US a bad name, and are the reason a group of modified cars can't roll around together without attracting all types of attention. People like your friends are also the reason our insurance rates are so high because they do stupid **** and put cars through guardrails.
bottom line is, you and your friends were irresponsible, and dead damn wrong so stop acting like some victim here, man the **** up, admit you're wrong and accept the consequences.
also, the correct expression is that you COULDN'T care less. If you COULD care less, that's implying that you do care now, which defeats the whole purpose of what you're trying to say. Off topic, but when people say that it bothers me almost as much as when people say "irregardless"

judges verdict, and truth are two totally different things. there have been a lot of guilty people who have walked with no issues, as well as people completely innocent that catch hell all the time. all that says to me is you got lucky, and they let you off. not because you and your friends were innocent, just because somebody pulled some strings somewhere and got you off.
no way you end up 15 feet in the woods after going THROUGH a guardrail, AND not be driving recklessly. at speeds of 30 or even 50 mph there's no way in hell they could have made it through that guardrail, so anybody with even a shred of common sense can take a pretty good guess at how fast you guys had to be moving to do that much damage. you guys are just lucky you didn't kill yourselves, or more importantly any innocent family on the road.

Sorry but i have to agree with both of ODUBs statements, one of you had to have been driving like an idiot. I was also stationed in Japan and know very well how the roads are. I would drive during typhoon season and sh**ty weather all the time. I know there are MANY roads like this that guys want to show off on. Then something like this happens and now we act like we were obeying all the laws. Guys like you are the reason why the Corps has such strict rules overseas for Marines. The Gunny that you said got off with nothing, well how can you prove it. You think they will use him as an example to the rest of your platoon, no. They will use you so other will learn from your mistake. I know what I am talking about cause I TOO got in an accident while stationed here in Japan. I had to man up and admit that I f**ked up. dont start a thread and expect not to get comments like this or ODUB's. If you think they didnt hook you up you are so wrong. Your lucky the Japanese government isnt taking the damages out of your check.
It looks like you guys were going pretty fast to have that type of damage done. If you did go to court and had everything sorted out before you were charged on base..you should be ok. They are not allowed to punish you twice, unless the double jeopardy rule does not apply over there. I would talk to Your base JAG.
Good luck!

Whatever you say, buddy..

remixx... you came on this forum for advice and support/sympathy yet all you enjoy is saying "i dont care what you say!".... then why did you come on the forum? for a hug? people will give you advice here but also will point out your errors too. maybe its possible your command is being harsh on you because they feel you arent humbling and willing to learn from mistakes...
4 awsome cars all messed up and one guy went all the way through the rail. You're lucky you didnt get in more trouble or kill somebody you were defintally going way too fast . The rails are all right on the curbs too what did you guys think was gunna happen.
I cant beleive you're even mad about the cops hassling you. It is crystal clear that you guys were driving recklessly in order to have 4 spectacular handling cars all crash on Dry pavement.

Sucks it happened... but seriously... don't bull-$hit... and drive responsibly even when others aren't. A whole pack of cars crashing has no excuse other than carelessness-and/or-speeding-and/or-a$$-riding. I drive with/around idiots all the time. I live in Staten Island NY. How do I keep my car in mint condition? Keep distance, give yourself room/time for reflex.
Definitely don't stop speeding... that's what all us are here for... just do it where you're supposed to man

Best luck/wishes to you, take it easy and be safe.
That made my day.
I know know anything about the military but this whole incident is very unfortunate. I hope you can figure out a way to bring that V back to the states because that is a really nice car. Best of luck to you, hope everything works out.
same here... i literally lol...

Sorry to see these most epic pics. Im not an investigator, nor was I there. So I will just take your story as you told it.
This site has its turds.
And as if everyone who is throwing stones obeys road laws at all times.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts of your V, since you bought it. I'm sure its only a matter of time before your motivation is back. And I LOL'd at "the s15 tried to swerve around. Epic Fail"

on the other side of that, it's entirely possible to be within all the posted laws, and still be reckless. if the speed limit is 70, but there's a lot of traffic, or it's raining heavily, or icy, or snowing, or visibility is low for some other reason, even doing 65mph could be reckless. you'd still legally be clear, but driving recklessly none the less.
it's fine if you don't agree with what we are saying, but there's no need for name calling because you sympathize with the OP. I didn't say that I don't speed, or break road laws everytime I get behind the wheel, because I do. But, doing 40mph in a 35mph zone isn't being wreckless even if it is breaking the law. That said, if something were to happen to me while breaking the law, I wouldn't come in here crying about it, and getting mad when people give me ****.
I'd man up and say, yeah, i broke the law...I shouldn't have been doing what I was doing, but I was, and this is what happened because of it...I'm a moron, and this **** sucks. End of story.
