The day has finally come...
I don't understand... how is the Evo not compatible with having small kids? It has a 4 star crash rating for rear seat passengers. It's not an unsafe car - it's a sedan - a pretty practical car.
Well guys, Im getting into family mode and I have to let go of my evo. It kills me to do this because I love my car but my daughter and wife come first. With that said, I'm gonna return the car to stock and sell the parts I have accumulated over the past year and a half.
After racking my brain all day about this decision, I'm going to have me a few coronas at a mexican restaurant with the family. Thank you guys for all the help and advice, hopefully I can make a come back in a few years. I'll have a beer for every one of you guys!

Well selling the EVO to potentially finance a new vehicle isn't fiscally responsible either especially if the EVO is paid off.
He could be selling it to buy an older beater or something so that he can provide better for his family and not have to worry about a car payment. Or he could use that chunk of change towards something else if he owns the car., like a down payment towards a house. I have no idea why he is selling it, but I'm saying we shouldn't assume its because the car isn't family friendly.

Buy the wife a van, and keep the Evo. I have three kiddos (6,5,1) and the older two love the car. Wife loves it too, so as long as bills are paid she's cool. Sad you letting it go though... Good luck on the fam...

I got the same color for my 7 month old daughter except it's in the Pilot as I don't consider the Evo as a good family car. Road noise, wind noise, vibration and bumpiness to me are not the characteristics of a family car plus I'd rather get t-boned with my kids in the Pilot than in the Evo.
To the OP, get an SUV or mini van for your family.

The Evo can't save us from every accident but its still a pretty decently safe car all thing considered.
Give a little, get a little. Edit: I have the red/black recaro signo 2, its awesome!
