Evo8 Rear Upper Control Arm (Toe) looking for options.

So i went for a wheel alignment yesterday, and mechanic couldnt set the toe to 0, got it very close but the camber had to be at like -2.5 in the back. Apparently i need to get aftermarket rear upper control arms to be able to ajust the toe?

Only piece i've found is made by Megan Racing, cant find anything for the life of me. Is that the only brand?

Opinions?

Tx

Something is not right at all. You should not have to go to -2.5 camber in the rear, just to get the toe to 0.

I am unsure if you meant the LCA where the shock mounts to, but, get the AFI LCA's. They are a work of art.

yes, something is very wrong. you may want to take it somewhere else and get another alignment. -2.5deg is beyond excessive, something is either bent or the guy didnt know what he was doing.

I do agree. I did my own alignment without any problems.

I hope not... car has d2 coilovers, control arms underneath and upper control arm are stock.. im not sure whats wrong, but the first shop i went to to get an alignment they couldnt set the toe to 0 either in the back, best they could do was 0.5, then the 2nd shop i went to, same thing, was like 0.44 or something, so they guy told me he cant get it any better then that, so he said he'd just change the camber and that would allow him to change the toe little more...

Idk, maybe both these shops are complete morons, but i really have to do something, i obviously dont wanna keep driving like this, and im gonna be changing my tires, and i dont want retarded tire wear..

I gotta lookup a guide or something, how all this works and maybe i can figure some of this out myself instead of buying aftermarket upper toe control arms (rear).

Any info appreciated,

dj

ps. this car i bought is a mess! but such a blast to drive, i just gotta get it all touched up.

I do a ton of alignments on Evos. Your rear might be too low.

Every Evo is different, so saying one can get the rear toe zeroed out, doesn't mean the next one can.

I have a toe issue on my own car, and was able to use the whiteline bumpsteer bushings to bring the toe back in. That's the cheapest and easiest alternative.
