Trouble after timing belt replacement?

Hey Guys,

Few days ago my dealership replaced my timing belt and ever since then whenever I make an all the way turn to the left or right, there is a noise as if the timing belt was slipping or something (high pitched sound). Could this be related with timing belt? Or could it be just coincident and something else is happening? Or maybe during timing belt replacement, mechanic damaged something by accident? All I know is that there was no noise before timing belt replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is that a greasy handed mechanic put the accessory belt back on and now, when the PS pump has to work hard the belt slips. If the tensioner is okay the best fix now is a new accessory belt.

Sounds like the accessory belt like everyone says. I just replaced all those belts yesterday (12 hr. job NEVER AGAIN lol.) You should replace you accessory belt every 30,xxx recommended. Or it can be your power steeering pumps but I think you would notice that if it was leaking or needed more fluid.

This was my exact thought.

Timing belt is not slipping or else you would have a nice set of bent useless valves. I would tighten the accessory belt and spray it with belt dressing afterwards. Should be problem solved.

Belt dressing is messy. Try a bar of soap.
