evo is not creating boost??? HELP!!

hey guys my turbo went out a couple weeks ago and i drove it around like a grandma staying out of boost and whatnot(no choice i needed to be at work)

well i got another stock turbo from a member on EvoM with an upgraded wastegate actuator. i installed the new turbo with the upgraded wastegate into my car reusing my old 10.5 which seemed fine.

turbo is in ready to go test it by reving a lil bit but i dont hear the intake pushing out air(blowing off) when i let go of the gas....kinda weird right usually you hear some type of blow off...

anyways i drive the car around the lot push down on the gas, im at 4k RPMs and NO BOOST\

wtf is wrong????i know i did the install correctly double checked everything.

i checked the lines to boost controller(GM 3-port) i even switched them because maybe i mixed up the line by accident and still no boost.

so it brings me down to one possibility..

could it be the upgraded actuator not opening the wastegate? thats the only thing i changed besides an AEM intake pipe...

im going back to stock actuator today..ill keep you guys posted unless someone has a solution...

*******************UPDATE************************* *****

ok so i just switched back to the stock wastegate actuator and STILL DOES NOT BOOST.

when i rev with the throttle body i dont see the wastegate actuator doing its job though...rev to at least 5k and the actuator doesnt move.

so could this mean that the wastegate itself is bad? i fiddled with the knob that turns the wastegate open and shut and it does it loosely...

am i missing something here?

*******************UPDATE************************* *****

ok so i guess i have a boost leak??

i am able to boost but its horrible i hit boost at 5k RPM's and it feels like im not boosting normal i think im only boosting wastegate pressure.

mind you im on stock IX turbo so i should be hitting boosting @ 3.5k RPM's

im tuned @ 20psi

i put my hand over the ex. mani to feel if theres a leak and i do feel air pressing up against my hand but i hear no exhaust leak.

well car wont build boost free reving.... has to be under load
do you hear the turbo spooling at all under load when u hit 4k?

how is the 3 port connected?....to turbo nipple?...whats the boost source?

if wastegate actuator was stuck close you would build boost..too much as a matter of fact...have u boost tested?

is your turbo crack on the exhaust housing of any sort? the wastegate might be stuck open, maybe exhaust leak.

its not spooling, 3 port is connected the correct way i even switched the lines to test if it was on backwards and nothing. i drove around the street a couple times WOT and nothing doesnt even feel if its creating boost. my 3 port is connected to the turbo nipple and WGA.

i dont believe it is, when i installed it i didnt notice and irregularities or cracks...

wastegate could still be stuck open but i dont hear an exhaust leak.

even if i had an exhaust leak the car would still create boost..from past experiences.

isnt the wastegate actuator supposed to be down...? i thought it pushes up which opens the wastegate and when you let go of the gas pedal the actuator goes back down...

Are you monitoring boost? Is it not boosting AT ALL or is it just not hitting the target boost?

Do a boost leak test dude. You probably have a gash in a coupler or something. If you installed the turbo yourself did you test the actuator to see what psi the wastegate starts to crack?
