Thats so true. The more you do the more you learn. I started doing more on my car now and it feels good. Iam learning so much. Almost everything, except the cams and waterpump and valve springs and retainers.

im not great at working with cars, but i will say its a really satisfying feeling when you order a part and install it yourself. i installed my turbo outlet and full megan exhaust (obviously not too difficult), but it was a great feeling to get that first drive in afterwards knowing i put in the work to make the upgrade

I do just about all my own work. I even mounted and balanced my own wheels. I have only had a shop work on my evo to tune it and whenever it was something I couldnt afford alot of downtime on.

i do. haven't had the opportunity to do much. But i love the satisfaction i have after a successful install/replacement/fix it whatever it may be. The best way to learn is by doing!

do you own the equipment to mount wheels or did you go to a tire place and ask to do it yourself? havent heard of too many people doing that

No one has EVER touched my car. Everything was done by me. Porting, installs, tuning, maintenance. Even the tires mounted onto the wheels.

In retrospect, for as long as it took, I probably should have paid someone to do the clutch.

I've done more work on my Evo than any other car that I've owned. The more I let other people work on my Evo, the more I want to do myself.
