Silverstars are brighter. But they are expensive and burn out quickly. Rallylights.com has good prices on bulbs.

Lighting Advice...

Or try Daniel Stern Lighting:

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html

It's a great Website with alot of proven advice about what works and what doesn't related to lighting. He doesn't recommend using HID kits in housings not originally designed for them. He has alot of experience with different bulbs and upgrades and knows what works and what doesn't. Also sells the good stuff.

Another good lighting Website is Candlepower:

http://store.candlepower.com/index.html

Great advice, good product reviews, sells the good stuff.

Hope this helps.

I always thought they were OK.,,,PIAAs worked out better, but go to the vendor forums and buy a HID kit for about what you spend on Silverstars.
