Sorry man, its just that this has been a very frustrating experience for me and nothing was really working. Thanks to everyone who replied.

Lessons learned:
1) Sears sucks for alignments
2) TireRack sucks at balancing tires

lesson 3 Sears may sell Craftsman. Sears does not hire Craftsmen.

So another fun update, driving up to work this morning I got the shakes again. The ONLY thing I did this weekend to the car was take the driver's side front wheel off to fix a sagging bumper. Put the wheel back on and put it on the ground...I didn't even drive it! None of the wheel weights fell off, I checked.

I was doing some reading and came upon my latest theory for this. The wheels have hubcentric rings, they they are centered. But when you put the wheel over the studs, the wheel can rotate left and right a little. I'm wondering if it is not 100% centered (left to right) that it could cause this. Maybe I just need better lugnuts?

Nevermind, I apparently didn't check the passenger side front wheel. A bunch of weights got thrown off. How the hell did that happen?

I just thought I would post some more information that may or may not be useful....

I was driving today doing about 65-68mph and didn't notice the shake, the car felt pretty solid. After a little while though, it started shaking again and the car would start to wander all over the road. The steering felt very loose and had a very noticeable delay. I'm wondering if maybe there is something wrong with the inner tie rods? I'm thinking if something is loose then maybe it would cause something to get off balance and cause the vibration and bad steering response. Other than that, the only thing left to look at or replace is the rack itself.

Another thing I noticed is that when going around a turn at relatively high speed, if I hit a bump, the rear end seems to swing out and then suddenly catch forcing me to counter steer a little to keep the car going in the direction it was pointed before the bump.

So I'm thinking maybe new inner tie rod ends and have someone inspect the rack??

i dont think your wheels are bent, wouldn't you see that if they were being balanced?

Wheels and tires are not the issue. No tire damage or wheel damage and the wheels are brand new.

Rear rotors are brand new, and front rotors were just cut.

Yes, you can see irregularities in the wheel when they are being balanced unless they do a static balance. But again, these are new wheels.

I don't think a rack problem would be intermittent. Working fine one minute then loose the next. There would be play all the time. I know you must be frustrated take it back to the shop have em take a look. It could be a very simple fix.

Thanks. The more I research and look into it, it sounds like one or both of the inner tie rod ball joints are bad in some way that gives the wheels too much play. So going straight, if nothing in the road forces the tire to change direction it will go straight with no vibration. Otherwise if an imperfection in the road moves the tire a bit, it will wobble and shake the wheel. Or at least that's my theory. So I'm picking up two new inner tie rods today from AutoZone and the inner tie rod tool from Harbor Freight tomorrow and I will replace both. Then I'll get the wheels re-balanced again and that SHOULD solve this issue once and for all. Otherwise I'll be forced to take it back to TurboTrix for further investigation.

PS - does anyone know the torque specs for these? I don't have a manual for the evo.
