so i just noticed something, i have never seen a yellow 9. low production number or what?

i believe the evo 9 in yellow never came to the US

 

I have never seen one either but they do show up on google. I thought they didnt make them past 03/04 until I looked

 

Yellow 9's never came to the US... or, I would be driving one, not a GG.

 

i like the gg on the 8 but not the 9, i think its cuz its so common on the 9

 

It was not a stock color for USDM Evo's. Only colors available were:

Apex Silver
Wicked Weight
Graphite Grey
Tarmac Black
Electric Blue
Rally Red

 

Yellow IXs were only available to Australia i think?

 

Yeah. The yellow paint made the car too fast so they had to keep it out of the US after 03/04.

 

naa more like people quit buying that color so they pulled it LOL. there are plenty of yellow 9s over seas. Just like pearl white evos LOL

 

Saw this one on the streets of Tokyo the other day. Certainly an eye catching color.

 

I would have to say yellow evo is my least favorite color i didnt even notice that there werent yellow 9's in U.S. till this thread

 

yellow 8's with the 9 bumper look awesome.

 

I tried to buy mine in August '04, and the dealer checked and said that there were no more (new) yellow Evos because they weren't shipping them any longer to the US. I told them it was yellow or nothing, and left. The dealer called me back about a week later and said that there was one yellow Evo on a boat in Japan heading for the US, and that it absolutely the last one (for the US). Coulda been BS, but I ordered it anyway and it came in about 5 weeks later. I'm certain that it is among the last yellow US Evo 8's.
